John Biddle (Pool Student) was the primary force behind getting this great concept off the ground. The idea is for a group of writers and bloggers to create articles that can be posted on the same day (monthly on the 15th) loosely addressing one particular topic. At that point, the host site which will change from month to month will post a lead-in article with links to the various posts. The current topic is: Strategy and 9 fine writers/players/instructors/bloggers have participated in this first month's effort.

All I can say is it was a great success. Samm Diep (Pool Tip Jar) wrote a clear article on choosing between the side and corner pockets in your position decisions. The NYC Grind, a relatively new pool site did a fine job addressing the idea of doing a realistic appraisal of your own game. Fast Mike at (Pool Shooter) took on the topic of what it takes to become a master at pool and if you have the passion and perseverance to ride it out until you reach that goal. Mike Fieldhammer (Billiard Coach) wrote an interesting article about when it is strategically appropriate to bring your opponent into the decision making process rather that only "playing the table" as the old maxim suggests. There are four postings I haven't gotten to yet but after reading the above articles I was inspired to write this review. If they are anywhere near the quality of these they will be worth every minute. In fact, I need to finish this so I can get to the ones I haven't read yet. Check them all out... you can start at Pool Student and find links to all the articles. Even if you're a pool site junky, you are sure to find at least one site you didn't know about and a bunch of great strategies to improve your game.
